Hello, I have 1968 Dart 270 I have been working on for a while. Other than owning a few Dodges I have really no experience working on them. I am trying to learn from books and this web site. I try and err.

I think my car was built in Los Angeles. I think it was Blue Poly. I believe it had a 273, 904 and a posi 7/4. Seems pretty plain. It has a heater, looks like it had a wiper washer, no console and a '72 Dart bench seat, not sure what the rear seat is. It leaks around the windows.

I got it with a 318 in it. It had a Edelbrock TM5, a Holley 1850 and a dual point distributor. I spun a rod bearing and decided to go with a 360. That's when the fight started.

I came to see the dents and damage as scars, and lacking money to fix them all, decided to paint over them.

I got a chrome oil pan and valve covers from taiwan on ebay. The 318 oil pan will not work and the hi volume pump will leak. I think I could have hammered the pan but after carefully putting the trans on the engine and tilting it up- only to watch it leak oil- scared me. I read about hi volume pumps on FABO and decided to go with a stock pump.
