First design vs final design

I’m in the process of changing my 1967 Barracuda steering column from auto to manual. ( I’m changing the collars)
I also want to replace my broken turn signal switch. It appears to be the first design style. Can I use a final design switch? Are they interchangeable? Seems like they are both the same but I’m not sure. Thanks

Looks like both will work. You may have to trim the plastic extension over by the horn contact, but, other than that it looks correct. Both look to have the lane change feature too.

I thought they looked about the same. I’m hoping the final design is a better version. I’m not sure why you can’t still get the first design if the final one is better. Thanks for the reply. I don’t post here often but lots of good info.
