Finally starting to make something happen with the Arrow. Made it to the final round of Top ET (Super Pro) at New Oxford Dragway last Friday night. I usually have issues with the car hooking up at this track (No fault of the track crew) but the Arrow was launching good and going straight down broadway. By the time final round arrived it was around 11:00 pm and the air temp had cooled off considerably. I had dialed a 5.86 in the semis and ran the number. With the cooler air that late in the evening I knew I needed to dial down to a 5.84, then my finals opponent, who's a friend of mine, came over to look at my new trailer and wouldn't you know it I forgot to dial down and didn't realize my mistake until I look at my dial on the finish line scoreboard! Sure enough, I ran a .84 on my .86 dial while he ran a 6.20 on a 6.19 dial. Oh well, I congratulated him and told him I'd remember his little tactic of coming over to distract me before running the final! All in all I'll definitely take it as the car was pretty consistent at a track where it's a little tricky for the faster cars to perform consistently.
