I will be close to Long Wharf any one know of a public fishing pier? I just wont have enough time to charter a boat but want to fish a little bit.

If you are looking out into the Harbor to your right you will see the Federal Court House (it has a curve wall of glass facing the water). The court house sits on Fan Pier and you can fish there, don't know if you can catch anything but that area is a park and folks do fish.
It will be about a 1/2 mile walk along the water front and over the walking bridge.
There are also water taxis that will take you out the harbor islands and you can fish on the beaches of the islands.
