I was wondering your guys's opinions on these, they seem nice, but way too expensive. It seems the only option for a new one is Either Flaming river or firm feel.

the flaming river boxes are cast iron. a lot heavier than the aluminum factory boxes. I'm assuming you're talking about manual steering boxes. Personally, I'd rather use a rebuilt factory box just for the factory look , not to mention the weight savings.

I went with a factory reman. from Advance Auto Parts $235.00.Seems to work just fine, and alot cheaper than a Flaming River box

I 've got a Flaming River manual box on my '70 duster, love it!! weights a mear 19 lbs...by switching to manual,i lost 36 lbs off the frontend..:-D:-D

I bought a replacement 16:1 manual box from Firm Feel in 1999 and it's been a champ ever since, no problems at all. It needed a little tightening after the first year, but that was it.
