Flange Gasket Question

Where on the axle flange dose the metal and foam gasket go. Thanks

The metal shim goes between the backing plate and the axle housing. The foam gasket goes between the backing plate and axle flange.

The gaskets I have are a fiber material and of course the foam ones. Are the fiber ones replacements for the steel ones?

Hummm.. Don't know. Never seen fiber ones. Where did you get them?

I think they came with the Yukon axles. Not trying to steal the thread.
