I've never heard anything good about Flex fans. I have no room for a clutch. What is the general consensus out there?
Yeah, like a fat life insurance policyI really don't prefer any type flex fan. I prefer just a solid, fixed blade fan. If you just gotta have a flex fan, do like our friend down under, @Bewy said and make sure you get some sort of OEM flex fan. Even still, you need to take precautions around it.
Classic "risk versus reward" scenario. Everyone must make that decision for themselves, having weighed the facts.dont want one myself , ''have 2 on the bench'' , but they make 10,000 rpm flex fans ------------- jfi '
That is what I am running in my A100....Hayden came out with a very short clutch a while back.
Fear mongering? Tell that to @chryslerfat. I bet he never uses a flex fan ever again.fear mongering...the factories used them all the time and as stated you can get them rated for 10.000 rpm
get a good quality NEW one and you'll probably be fine.
