Flex Plate Direction

Question, is this flexplate on the right way? I had an oil leak so I pulled the motor to take a look and the flex plate is tearing up the oil pan gasket. Maybe the pan was putonto tight?? Any advise?

The flex plate can only go the way you installed it .But the way the pan is jutting out past the end of the block does not look right.

that flexplate in the thrid pic is a strange bird......in the first pic it was installed correctly but the end seals should not have had all that rtv on them.....just a lil' touche at the corners where they meet up with the pan gasket
