Florida panhandle

I'm leaving in 18 days for the panhandle of Florida, Destin area. I posted a similar thread before I went to Myrtle Beach a few years back and was given the names of a couple good muscle car museums and other sights to check out. Which ended up being quite awesome when checked them out.

Anyway, I thought I'd try it again. Anyone got any recommendations for family fun stuff in and around Destin, FL?

Make a trip to Gulf Shores Ala. Fairly short trip. Great place.

shame it's not a couple weeks earlier, they have what they call" burning up the beaches" april 30 - may 3rd. in destin. kinda like "crusin the coast" we have here in Biloxi. you can go to burningupthebeaches.com for more info. dave.

might add that panama city and fort Walton beach usually has something going on all the time. panama's about 20 miles east, and fort Walton's about 5 miles west of destin. dave.
