We all have Chevy friends so maybe someone can use this. It's a freshly rebuilt SB Chevy 350/383 stroker short block using a 350 4-bolt main block and a 400 cast crank and 400 rods. The block is .030 over and was just honed with a plate. It’s been decked to square it but I don’t believe much was taken off as I can still see the TRG suffix code. From that code it appears that the block started life in a 1972 1-ton truck and has a casting #3970014. It now has KB Hyper-eutectic .030 over pistons with Hastings Moly rings. The crank has been cut .010/.010 and has new Clevite H series rod bearings, Sealed Power MA series performance main bearings, Sealed Power cam bearings in the block along with Melling brass freeze plugs are also installed. In addition, the rotating assemble has been balanced and an OEM 400 flexplate and OEM harmonic damper is included. With a 64 cc chamber cylinder head and depending on the head gasket used, this short block should have a compression ratio of about 9.5-1. Definitely pump gas. The block has been painted Chevy orange.
I would like to get $2,495.00 for the short block. To make things easy, I have an engine hoist so I can put the short block in the back of your truck with no problem. I also have everything except a cam and kit to make a complete engine with pricing that we can talk about.
