I acquired a nice set of Ford Maverick 14X6 steel wheels with 3.5 inch backset. Of course, Mopar hubcaps don’t fit over the mounting nubs. Same nub diameter as Chevy according to what I read. The Ford wheels have 4 nubs and Chevy has 3. I have lots of Chevy hubcaps, but they are difficult to pop onto the wheels and very difficult to pry off. I know, Chevy caps on a mopar. Figure I’ll try to make some mask for them. Is anybody using Ford wheels and having this difficulty? I’ve been trying to build some kind of pry bar that will catch that little edge and remove the cap. The edge is very difficult to get a grip on. So far, no luck. Almost all hubcaps have either a bow tie or “Ford” pressed in. Duct tape on the bad logo? Probably not.
