Does anybody know anything about the 1968 340 formula s cam ? Is it a good cam for the street ?

depends on engine size, but it's a fine, mild street cam. better cams with a modern grind can be found for the same cost.

You mean the 1968 Manual trans 340 cam, if so yeah it was a good cam. Back in the late 70's Street Freaks which was own by Car Craft, built a low compression 360 with a 6 pack with good old Freon A/C, stuck it in to a 60's Cuda with 2.94 gears and went from LA to NY and got 16 mpg--they didn;t drive 55 mph either, lol

Thats the cam I have in my 69 dart swinger w/ the 340 . The car wakes up at about 4000 rpm but its really a dog from off idle . I had a set of 3:91 gears set up for me and I hope this helps. Charlie
