Thank you to everyone that replied. Looks like I've found what I needed.

I'm going to go check out some that moparfan68 has.

Thank you,

I am looking for a good 440 block, short block or even a rebuildable 440 in or very close to VA

Seems all the ones I find in VA people think are Gold and all the good priced ones are too far away.

Edit: I'm plan on building a high-torque stroker engine for a 4-wheel drive truck that I use daily also for towing, hauling, off-roading, etc...

I am also interested in a BB 727 trans housing

Thank you,
Shawn

I have a 440 stock bore with 11to1 pistons and a 509 cam with 35passes at the track.(short block only)I would not be afrade to put heads back on it and run.but what do you call a good price.......Artie

Thanks for the reply.

My goal is to build a high-torque, low RPM stroker for my 4x4 truck which is also my daily driver.

I've been seeing stock bored blocks for 250-450 on here, MoParts, etc which is within my price range for a block.

While I would probably like your block; the pistons, cam, etc would not be useful for my needs.

I think I should update my ad to indicate my goals.

Thanks again,
Shawn

I don't know that much other than what I've read about issues with the early Mega Blocks. Do you know who\when this one was cast? Have any pictures?

Thank you,
