Wow! That reminds me of a certain tree that snakes up a full grown one
and strangles it then take over (I seen it on Discovery Channel awhile back).
Do not know what it is called.

Pretty strange what a tree can do. We cut into a big maple in our sawmill a few years ago and hit a cresent wrench hanging on a nail that was inside the tree about 8 inches. Needless to saw it took a bunch of teeth off of the bandmill.
