Fram is trying to get rich these days

-
Thanks for the tip, will check into this. I haven't put the car on the road yet but had plans of using something cheaper for everyday use and the fram for pictures and such.
Sounds crazy but that's likely what I will do.

Lol, that is the way I also do things when they expensive and are that easy to swap. I have an original NOS Mopar tan distributor cap with all the correct markings that will be done that way.

just wondering why you think that of K&N? have never had a problem with them....

I have a K&N on my GMC truck, and on both my Ram diesels.
According to my Laptop Dyno,
The Rams showed about 14 HP, and 30 Ft/Lbs of torque increase, and the 5.3L GMC gas engine picked up about 12hp, and 15ft/lbs torque. MPG's stayed around the same. If there is a difference, it's less than +/-1 MPG.

The GMC filter has about 120K miles on it now, and on the Rams, one has approximately 325,000 miles on it, and the other about 175,000 miles on the filters. and you get a number of cleanings out of each filter cleaning kit, and it's simple, too. Cleaning is "recommended " at 70,000 miles. I do them ever 35K.
The warranty is for a million miles on the element.

Personally I'd use them on everything.
