Frame Mount Tiedowns

Just curious, has anybody added permanent tiedowns
to their cars for ease of loading and securing to a trailer.
Where did you weld/add them, and how does it work.
Pictures would be most excellent!
 
I weld a self made loop on the Kfram and about 3or4 links of 3/8 chain to the rear shock plates works for me.I don't like pulling on the lower control arms wen tightening them down but that's just me I pull them down tell the straps sound like banjo strings...........Artie
 
I bought a pair of tabs from Mancini for this purpose.....but I can't figure out where to put them. LOL

I have had them on Mustangs in the past. I just took some of the factory brackets used to ease lifting of the engine and welded them to the frame in front of the tires. Made things way easier than trying to fish the tie downs through the control arms and the like.

It would probably be better to have them in the back as well, but I stuck with using axle straps.
 
How did the factory tie them down when they
were shipped from the factory?
