Gents & Ladies:
Took these yesterday @ the Williamson Country Agricultural Center Car & Craft Show, Franklin, TN.
The most interesting one was the propeller-driven car built by the French (go figure). The event is an "invitation only" car show, and featured the light blue 1970&1/2 Challenger T/A 340 Six Pack owned by a friend of mine who recently finished having it restored to factory original standards. He has owned it since the mid-1970s and had it done by a local craftsman/car restoration specialist who took almost two years to complete the job.
My friend was crazy enough to allow me to drive it when he and I went to see the finished product, and I had a blast running up through the gears using the four speed pistol grip shifter on some back country roads. Needless to say, I had to see if the positraction was working, which it was in a big way. To his credit, the owner is driving it on a regular basis and not treating it like a Trailer Queen, despite the original condition of the car.
The show has a craft show on the upper deck area for the Testosterone-challeged among us, while the lower pit area has 100 cars on display. Pretty cool idea.
