Was watching the 1951 remake of the movie "M" (original debuted in 1931) and saw an add on a bus bench for bread. Must of been a now long-gone bakery in Southern California. Anyone eat this as a youngster?

Yep. Another one gone from SoCal is the Helm's bakery truck. As a school kid we took field trips to the Helm's bakery and they gave each of us a freshly baked mini loaf of white bread. Sure was good! I wish today's youth could have those same types of memories. Plain, simple, and delicious.
