this driving me nuts
I have an anti freeze leak from the front cover bolts
i changed bolts used sealer retighten and I still get a leak
any ideas ?

i dont know what to say about your leaks but if its a small block do not use a long bolt on the lower holes of the timing cover cuz if you do they will bottom out against the cylinder wall and depending how tight you tighten them it will crack the cylinder and then youll have a new question to post up. maybe tyr some teflon paste on the threads of the bolts or yellow 3M

Your timing cover is most likely pitted and allowing the leak. It's common to see the gasket mating surface on timing covers all pitted up. You can probably remove the cover and replace the gaskets and use silicone sealer on both sides if the cover isn't totally garbage. I have seen a couple covers that we're total junk and had to be replaced.

I am not sure if this is relevant, but are the bolts chrome?
Over the years I've tossed many bolts and parts due to the chrome, could never get it to seal.
