Hi. My sons 72 Duster wonders/floats going down the road. I have rebuilt the complete front end, Have new radial tires and has been aligned.

Car was manual steering now is P.S. I have not attempted adjusting the steering box at all yet. The car feels like it has way to much P.S. a friend told me he thought he read something on this sight about putting a washer in the line someplace to restrict the pressure. I could not seem to find this info. ANY HELP?

I would also like to add a front stabilizer to the front end but this cars K-FRAME does not have that option is there a aftermarket kit for this? what do you recommend if available?

What do you all suggest for this wondering Duster..

Thanks in advance. Bill

My car does the same with stock power steering. As said above, caster is usually an issue with these cars, and the car will basically "float" around when there is not enough caster.

Another issue that I have had is no one knowing how to properly align an old mopar at the local shops.

Sounds like a classic case of modern radials with a 40 year old alignment.

Hopefully someone will post the modern, recommended alignment specs.

3-4 degrees positive caster
.5 degrees negative camber
1/16" toe in

not sure you can get that much caster with the stock uppers. you can use the moog offset bushings or go with a tubular uca (not from C.A.P.)

thats a lot of caster, getting into stock car range type of caster, sure about that???
