Anyone know a good source for the rear spring "front hangar studs", the ones that are pressed into the the front hangar box itself,???. They are 3/8th X1 1/4 in X 16 t.p.i. I haven't had any luck locally. I need 8 of them to mount my new R/Springs in my 66 Dart Gt Project. They are not listed in ESPO Springs and Things catalog either.

Thanks Dave C.

I have not seen them either listed. I would just use grade 8 bolts if you can't find them.

Thanks Chuck
I thought about that, But I'm going to try and find the studs. I like the fact that they are pressed in, and it makes insatallation easier.

Dave. I went to the local hardware store. I got stainless steel
bolts and nuts. When I flipped the hangers on my Duster. That
was over two years ago. They are still in like new condition.
I used them cause I knew they wouldn't rust. Just my 2 cents
worth. Brian

Thanks Brian
Maybe I'll have to do like you guys sugjest and get some bolts and nuts. I'm going to try a few more places tomorrow, I'll let you all know how I make out.

briankaplan...when you say "When I flipped the hangers on my Duster"...does this mean you flipped them 180 degrees? why did you do this? thanks

Flipping the front spring hangers will lower the rear slightly
Could also change the pinion angle I believe...

I flipped them cause I put S/S springs on it. It gave it the
stink bug look. Raised the back of the car at least 2 in.
I flipped the front mount to get the car back to about the
stock ride height. I don't belive it changed the pinion angle.
Every thing should be at the stock position. I have not had
any problems with the rear U joint. But I blew out the front
one racing a couple weeks ago. I do not think that caused it.
The car has been running this way for at least a couple years.
If you look at the car in my garage pics, the stance looks
good. Not to high or to low.
