This is a parts kit, not a complete gun - this is 100% legal in the US.
I have a 1928 parts kit that I bought in the 90's. I thiink I bought it from Sarco. It's been sitting for the last 15 years collecting dust. came with smoth barrel and horizontal foregrip. I bought a finned barrel and vertical grip, as well as an 80% receiver. Can't remember but I think I got the receiver from Philadelphia ordinance - could be wrong. The receiver is blued, but doesn't have any patent codes or Thompson logos on it. It also came with the standard fixed sights, but I bought repro lyman sight.
complete kit with 80% receiver, lyman sight, finned barrel and vertical foregrip (plus original barrel, etc.) and stick mag.
all parts not pictured in photos below - this is a complete kit plus the extra parts I listed.
Anybody who knows about these kits knows these aren't all that easy to find anymore, and the kits alone can go for almost $1k in the same exact condition. That's not including the receiver included that are usually around $300 by themselves.
$750 plus shipping.
