Fuel Filter ?

I have my fuel tank out of my Dart for cleaning. Should there be a fuel filter sock on the fuel pickup tube in the tank or should I add one while its out of the car?

My Duster had a mesh sock like your talking about on mine. You need one to keep out chunks from getting into your fuel lines..

Yes, absolutely add one. They do deteriorate over the years.

There wasn't one on there but I will add one on. I have some fuel filter socks from work that I can rigg up to work. Thanks for the info!
