I have a 68 Barracuda and I am using after market gauges. I may need to change the resistor on the sending unit in the gas tank, but I’m not sure and I can’t remember the resistance range on the stock unit. I don’t want to drop the tank again and change it if I don’t have too. Does anyone know what the stock resistance range is in the sending unit?

Sender resistances are supposed to be

L = 73.7 Ohms (empty)
M = 23.0 Ohms (1/2)
H = 10.2 Ohms (full

Bear in mind that if the

gauge movement is wanky

the IVR is not up to snuff

or the grounds/ wiring have bad connections

you might have the exact resistance, and still not be accurate.

Thanks for the info. I am well aware of the other issues. All wiring is new so its just amatter of getting it ajusted correctly.

Thanks again

Ron
