fuel line

i changed my carb and intake. I am going to change the fuel line from the pump to the carb. what was there is not long enough. should i just run something like this kit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-8135/
what is everyone using for fuel filters and line?

that will work but tech at the track allows no more than 12 inches rubber fuel line underhood. i think braided is ok and would look better

hmm, good thinking. ok so how do i get braided line to go from pump to carb?

anyone know the size hose id need from the pump to the carb? 318 fuel pump and its a edelbrock 1406 600cfm carb?

ok so its 3/8 from top to bottom. i have a 3ft section on braided steel line, its actully a little long but i was curious if anyone has cut this stuff to put a fuel filter on?
