Was going to step up to 3/8 inch fuel line then as I'm thinking about it, that line wont do a thing if the outlet/pickup/sending unit/whatchyamacallit from the tank is still a 5/16's. Any thoughts? I havent looked at the tank yet so Im just assuming from here. Thanks!

If you don't have big HP, (450+) there is no need for the 3/8's line. It would be what I call wasted money as you don't need it and the money could be better spent elsewhere. And I do believe you are correct on your fuel pickup and pump inlets and outlets. You can only pull so much through them no matter how big you make the line.

Well the quick rundown of the combo is a 360, 10.5:1 , ported Edel heads, airgap intake, 650 douple pumper, and headmans with a 2.5" exhaust. plus more than a few grand of other stuff. There's no reason it shouldnt put out well over 450 at the crank NA, then a shot on top of it...
Plus the fact that the car is apart now and I know I will be upgrading again down the road.

Anyway, anyone that has up-sized what'd you do about the restrictions?

I don't remember right off where I saw them, but if you need it somebody makes replacements for the in-tank sender with the 3/8" line. I looked on The Paddock website & they have them but they're well over $100. I think I saw them for somewhere around $60. Might've been on ebay.

:burnout:

On my Dart, I pulled the sender out and removed the 5/16 line and bent a piece of aluminium line to match the old one. Then used a ( brain fade, can't remember the proper name of the fitting used to run through a metal plate) fitting to run it through the sender housing. Problem is I messed up the float sending unit when I was messing with it, But it can be done.

I bought a 3/8" sender from year one. There was somebody on this board selling them a couple of months ago for like $79. I think I paid $129 or so from year one. search the forums you might fine the ad.

Yep ya gotta replace the sending unit or change it to 3/8 also. But that being said we still have the original 5/16 fuel line and sending unit on my boys 11 second Dart and it pulls fine thru the traps. But we are changing to 3/8 this year as he plans to go faster down the road. Ron
