Fuel pump install no start

I just installed a new mechanical fuel pump on a 225 slant six and now I have a no start problem. What should I do?

what lead you up to believe the FP was bad? lets take it from the top and see where it takes us...

It was leaking all over the place. (internal on the pump) I got the car running again. gonna have to change line. (partially crimped)
