I recently changed out my holly blue electric fuel pump for an edlebrock mechanical pump (110GPH). Seems to work good but I have a concern..When I first start the car my fuel pressure shows between 10 and 12 psi, after 10 or 15 minutes it drops down to 3 psi. They claim that this pump has an internal regulator and pump should put out if I recall 6 psi. Has anyone experienced this? I thought it could be the gauge so I tried another gauge, same issue. I may call edlebrock.

I would guess the gauge, 12 psi would blow past the needle. I had a screw on gauge that goes on the fuel line and it was always off and eratic. Best gauge seems to be one that has a line and is mounted on the hood or in the car away from the line.
