Do any of you have issues with the pinch flange around the fuel tank hitting the shock absorber on the driver's side?? I seem to be having some interference at that spot. I need to move the tank towards the front in order to get the filler tube to line up, but the shock is keeping the tank from moving far enough. Is there a way around this?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Somebody had that problem before I bought the car and they bent the flange down out of the way.
It didn't cause any problems apparently, I just noticed it one day when I took the shocks loose to replace all the rear bushings with poly.

Original shocks were narrow. some of the newer shocks are wide at the top. What else could it be. Is it a new tank without the seam folded.

The shocks are KYBs. And no, the seam has not been folded. I guess the the next step. I'd just hate to cause a leak by doing that.
