I pulled the fuel tank off the duster that I'm restoring today and it has sat for about 12-15 years with 1/2 a tank of gas in it. The outside of the tank looks awesome and there are no holes in it and barely any surface rust on the outside but I got alot of crud out of the inside and I was wondering if I should boil my tank out or just get a new one? I figure as long as there's not a hole in it it will clean up right? And what is a good brand on a fuel sending unit? Thank you

It is up to you, I pulled my gas tank out it only had less than a quarter tank, but the debris that was in there was my decideing factor. My car only sat for four years.. I just went on e-bay to pick up a sending unit for a good price. I also had some pretty nasty stuff come out of the fuel lines that go to the fuel pump. If you have a compressor, blow them out. Hope it goes well....Good Luck !!!!!
