Fuel tank

Was wondering if a gas tank out if a 68 / 70 dart would fit in my kids 71 demon , looks the same on the outside , eBay vendor says it fits 70 dart and lower ??? I don't see any differences in the pictures just curious before we buy thanks Mike

It may have to do with different venting due to emission changes after 1970

It could be a generic photo. The 71's had 4 vent tubes and if your not hooking up the emission tubes or running the lines for the charcoal canister and return you can use a std tank.

Then it's just a std tank with 1 vent tube just above the sender on the tank,make sure it's 68-up. The 67's used a different strap and side to side.

Tank was in eBay number was item#
272282619986 79$for tank we ended up buying a kit came with tank, straps ,sender, J bolts ,ground strap and seals
as we needed everything

Ya I know, I couldn't find the add for the one without the vent lines , the one we bought has no vent lines

Ok,just checking. I think all of the std tanks have 1 vent above the sender

So we got the new tank and the sender has an extra 1/4"line on the sender ! What is that for ? A vent ? If so how would you plumb that ?
