This coming Wednesday our 5 month old Redbones are going to the vet to get fixed & chipped. Don't know how Mita is going to handle not eating in the morning....that little girl loves to eat. Might keep her sister Azul quiet, at least for a day or two. She apparently likes hearing herself bark. She has gotten scolded a few times for going out at 2 in the morning, standing on the ramp to the doggy door and just singing. We named her Azul in honor of a Redbone we had to put to sleep, Blue. We named him Blue because we were initially going to not take him home with us.....until he started barking and howling......sort of like he was singing the Blues for not being picked. For the next 12 years Blue reminded us several times daily why he was named. He would go out in the middle of the yard and howl....It is almost like Blue is communicating with Azul somehow.....She even does one of his doggy door tricks...stand by it, with it going up and down while she is looking out it. Which reminds me, they wore the motor out, need to order a new one.....
