I have an appointment with a surgeon to have my cancerous (has not spread) prostate removed. And I don’t understand the photo. WTF?
It was an age thing. In other words, if you know the burn was caused by a lighter, you might be old enough to get your prostate checked. It was a joke......I know prostate cancer is no joke, but it was meant in a lighthearted way. Hope you make a full recovery.

To be honest,I’m not too worried. It was caught in its early stage. My PSA has always been low (1.4 to 1.6), and my overall bloodwork shows nothing.

Then a couple of months back, I got the urinary tract infection from hell, featuring an antibiotic resistant staff infection. Pure misery.

Following that being cleared up, my PSA and bloodwork showed nothing. To be cautious, the urologist gave me “the finger of fate.” He felt an enlarged prostate with a rough area that he suspected to be scar tissue from the UTI. Ordered an MRI. Based on what he saw there, a biopsy.

And that confirmed I have cancer in about 1/3 of my 72 yr old prostate, but nowhere else. So, the specialist and I will meet on the 28th to plan what comes next.

One last thing, as you age, DON’T rely on just a PSA - get “the finger of fate.” My PSA shows “no problem.” Had I not contracted the UTI, I would not have known I have cancer until it spread. The Doc told me in the past 20 yrs, I am the first patient he has had with low PSA and cancer.

Again, I am glad your prognosis is good. So many are not that fortunate. Thanks for expounding on it.
