I was wondering whether aircraft-type pop-up breakers could be used instead of fuses. Has anybody used them or looked into it?

I had thought about switching the fuses to breakers back when I was working on some wiring, but then I thought "How often do the fuses really blow?" and are they really necessary? probably not but definitely cool and if you are going to rewire the thing for blade fuses....why not do circuit breakers...just a little more expensive

Yes, I found a site that sells aircraft-type pop-up breakers and I figured I might give it a try because I plan to rewire the car and re-work the dash to have an aircraft-type instrument panel.

Consider this: Fuses trip (or blow) relatively fast. Breakers tend to take longer to trip at moderate overloads than ordinary fuses. Mopars with headlight doors, for example, have a self-resetting breaker on the door motor circuit.
