Gas Tank Quiz

My 1971 Demon has 2 fuel lines going to the engine bay 1 went to the carb the other I belive is a retun but not conected to anything up front. The tank has 1 vent line running up the fill tube and 3 others going the same way all are cut off and cappped. what are all of these for? Anyone?

Those are for the evaporative emissions canister that sounds to be long gone by now. The canister mounted above the wheel well behind the filler tube. Maybe someone with a '71 can post a pic.
