sent my carb in for warranty work and they said it had rust inside but they rebuilt under warranty . so tuesday 12/22 i pulled my tank and had to wait to thursday for to get to 70 deg so i could treat and seal tank . i did not see any rust but when i changed filter there was some brown in fuel i dumped out. it took two hours to clean and seal tank with eastwoods fuel tank seal kit. works great used it on my 66 chev pickup about 10 years ago. put tank back in sat afternoon and put 5 gallons of gas in today car runs fine and no rust in new clear glass filter. just need to fill up to check gauge it is just above empty with 5 gallons but is not on level surface
