i have a 318 and i am swapping my 2bbl to 4bbl. i have a perfromer 4bbl intake and a old holley carb and a felpro intake gasket. i know i need a gasket for the carb to sit on the intake but does anyone have any suggestions for a certain type? also, what else will i need to complete the swap. Lokar kickdown linkage is on order as well.

I had real problems getting my Performer to seal up with the 302 heads on the Demon. Ended up having to put an extra thick gasket in to make it seal. I used a generic 4 hole gasket between the carb and the intake. There isn't a lot of room between my air filter and the hood, so I did not consider using a thicker gasket or spacer.

The gas line between the fuel filter and the Holley will need to be revised. The 2 bbl gas pedal linkage works ok on the Peformer. Do you have the Holley Mopar throttle lever? It provides a mount for the kickdown linkage. I used the Bouchillon kickdown linkage, so I am useless for pointers on the Lokar.

The 2 bbl throttle return spring bracket did not work with the Performer and AFB when I made the same switch on the Demon. It's easy to fabricate, but watch out for upper radiator hose. I made the bracket so that it also supports the hose, too.

Don't know what you're doing with the air filter. The K&N kit comes with a gasket the goes between the housing and the carburetor.
