Gauge problems. Need help!

Hey guys, I have a '71 Dodge Demon and I am having problems with my gauges. I am new to this whole deal. This is my first project car and I really appreciate any help you can offer me! So on with the problems, the gas gauge and temperature gauge will not work. Any ideas on what the problem is?

I'm not a gambling man but pretty good odds it's your voltage limiter. Could also be bad gauges or bad grounds but the VL is generally the culprit in an older vehicle. Looks something like this and is on the back of the instrument panel.

Here's a link with a pretty good explanation with trouble shooting. If you said it was just one or the other than I'd check that system but when both go out, check the VL. Still a good idea check grounds and contacts.
