I have completely disassembled my 1967 Dodge Dart 270 (225cid slant 6). When I got the car, the fuel and temperature gauges worked ... intermittently, at best. So, I got a new, mechanical instrument panel voltage regulator. About two weeks before I started disassembly, the same gauges crapped out on me entirely. (I have since bought a new, solid-state IPVR from RTE.)
I opened up these gauges this morning to find that the fine wires that run current through them have separated from their terminals. I suspect that I've effectively "burnt out the lightbulb." (I can't think of a better metaphor.) The effect is, of course, that I'll need these gauges rebuilt.
Anyone know of someone who rebuilds these things? Does RTE still do it, or is there someone else I should go to?
Thanks, ahead of time, for your help!
