Gave up and sold out...

-
At 65 I now wish I wouldn't have taken on such a project car and just bought one that was either finished to my taste or close where I coulda finished it pretty easy. Too far into it now as I would lose a boatload of money if I sold out now.A newer Challenger is also something I would consider

as we get older, the things we enjoy doing can become such a struggle where its not fun. these old cars ,the ONES that the hard work is already done, are great candidates for some of us "older somewhat wore out" types! we can still change the oil if we like, but pulling the front suspension out could be a little much!? LOL
I think its great that people have guts enough to make these tough decisions to sell that old car and get something modern. I think it would be a blast to have a new, or new used modern chally.
would someone wealthy consider sending me some $$$! my only problem is I drive down the road, and my eyes are always looking into the timber, pastures, and ditches for that illusive old car!! LOL

Congrats on the new ride!!
I'm always torn with old versus new. I love the old school feel and looks but new cars have evolved so much its hard not to love them. If I could afford a new Challenger I would in a heartbeat. Just not in the budget. That's why I'm holding on to my Dart for the old car and my Mustang for the new car feel.

I was just talking to my wife about this same thing today. Three more years,(turn 50) and I think I'm going in the same direction. Sell all my stuff and buy a newer Challenger. It probably wont be a SRT8, but just a nice 5.7 HEMI Challenger.

Nice looking car boosted! Good luck!

Bought a 5.7 6-speed 2012 that was 9 months old with 3K miles on it.
You are going to like your choice.
Still have the old stuff to give to the kids.

What a great looking car... Yes I am very excited about this.. I do not have any children to leave anything to so my plan is to use it. I wish I did but that was not Gods plan and I am ok with it.

Good luck I think you are going to love it. I still enjoy working on the old ones but it kills me since my neck and back surgery. You can still wrench on the old ones if you want, and have a good time with the AC on. I bought the first round of plum crazy 6.1 6 speed. Sorry I don't have a picture without the stang in it.

Kids are a blessing, and a pain in the rear at the same time.
My youngest will be 15 next month and claimed the my duster as his 5 years ago, so be it.
The car is a 340 4-speed 4.30 gear toy.
Trying to get fresh paint on everything (complete restoration) by the time he turns 16.
It is about killing me, I just turned 48, doing all the work myself including paint.
I just cannot build them like I used too. I think the Duster is my last complete resto.

Nothing wrong with that Shelby being in the picture.. Those are some stout cars...

Well Just sold my last car to a friend.. My 69 B5 blue roadrunner.. Trailer will be sold next month and then I will go pick me up a 2012 SRT 8 Challenger with a 6 speed and be done with old cars. It has been a very fun ride but it had to come to an end.. Health and drive was the factors that lead me to this.. It is going to be weird...
Good luck!
I didn't vote "socialist" either!
We may think a lot alike.
