..if you overfill your 8 3/4 is it likely to leak out the axle seals or are they 100 % leak proof?
..the correct level a bit below the axle tubes?
 
if your axle seals are leaky they are leaky...even 1 rear tire going flat will result in fluid loss
 
Don't tempt fate... There is no need to over fill the housing. If you do a suction gun will fix that. If you spend a lot of time in hard corners it is always a good idea to check your brakes for signs of fluid.
 
How is it possible to over fill an 8.75 rear end? When the lube starts running out of the fill plug, it's as full as it'll ever get.

Yep, just fill it until it starts to trickle out the fill plug..
