I want to put a 2011 5.7 hemi, on a 1974 slant 6 k-member.

But I can't find motormounts for it. Am i not searching hard enough? Has anyone done these?

Or do I have to fabricate some of my own? Any info an that?

Sure seams like their used to be a kit for the spool mount /6 K-frame. But I don't find it now either, only for the biscuit mount /6 K.

If it was me, I'd probably buy the Schumacher v8 spool mounts (when they are back in stock) and cut them up to fit the /8 k-frame. Or at least start there and build my own.

Motor Mount Kit; Gen III HEMI (5.7, 6.1, 6.2 Hellcat, 6.4) This is what I used. Very good quality. I added a plate to the block to bolt the mount on so I could position the engine where it wanted it.

I swear there was a kit for the /6 spool mount at one time. I was planning on using it for my 5.7 swap, but when the time came I couldn't find anything. I ended up making my own mounts. I hack/modified the /6 spool mounts. I was able to move the passenger mount back far enough to use the stock oil filter and far enough back on the driver to keep the factory A/C compressor. There is a guy that sells urethane /6 bushings and I used those as well. However, it's a lot of work and I don't think I would do that again.

Any pictures? I thought about trying something similar, before the Holley mounts came out. Always thought it could be made to work to get the oil filter clear and keep the low mount AC compressor.
