I purchased a Glastek Hemi Hood for my 69 Dodge Dart. I am now in the process of installing. Thanks for advice on this forum, I found a set of 73-76 hinges that have adjustment space as well as lightweight springs. The issue I am having now is, the factory hood has an indent for the part of the hood that meets the cowl. See factory hood picture. The Glastek hood is straight with no indent. This is causing problems with alignment to the fenders. The lip is approximately 5/8". I wonder if I sand off approximately 1/4 inch of fiberglass for the part that meets the cowl if this will affect the integrity of the hood? I plan on contacting Glastek but also wondered if anyone else has experienced this issue and what they have done?
