Painting my 68 Dodge Dart 270. The interior was abused and faded so I'm not sure how the factory originally painted the interior metal parts with respect to flat, gloss, other. I looked through the forum but didn't find threads for some of these parts.

The headliner trim and rear window trim appear to be flat or low gloss. Is that correct?

How were the inner door surfaces, upper and lower, painted? Gloss? What about door jambs?

Is the entire dash frame a flat finish or suede?

I know that I can paint it anyway that I want but I'd like to stay somewhat period correct here.

I appreciate any help.

My Barracuda is red on black. The interior side metal is semi-gloss black. the dash pad is flat black and the dash metal is a special interior color, kind of a textured flat black. I just repainted the pad and dash and I was pleased with the result!:burnout:

Doors were gloss & dashboards were semi-gloss or satin. I believe the doors were painted in lacquer. So the gloss wouldn't be as glossy as enamel would be now. The lacquer dulled down faster.
