glove box door removal???

how do you remove the latch off the glove box door....i know to remove the screws but is there some way to pull the latch through

On my Challenger, there was a little tab inside a hole in the latch that you had to depress. That let the knob separate from the latch. I'm not sure if yours is the same.

Is it a lockable latch or a non-lockable latch?

It can make a difference in how hard or easy it is to remove. I just fought with a lockable without the proper key for a BBody.. my god what a pita but I got it eventually.
