Have a 69 Dart w/426 wedge. Car has run Pro at local drag strip for many years. Purchased car to turn into Prostreet ride but ran out of $. Instead now I'm going to race it. My problem is rear main seal leaks. Purchased new retainer from Mancini racing and crank bolts hit. Anybody else have this problem?
 
I put the billet retainer in my 440, and had no interference. You should check the length of the bolts. If they are protruding from the back of the flywheel/ flex plate, the extra length is doing nothing. Get shorter bolts. Maybe you can clearance the retainer? It just sunk in you might not want to pull the trans to fix this.
