My pinion seal is leaking is leaking at a pretty fast rate on my 69 Barracuda. I replaced it several years ago with another leather one.

Is there one that is not made out of leather? I don’t think I found one last time I looked. It is a 60’s 741 case pumpkin.

Dr. Diff has you covered.

Mopar 8 3/4" (8.75) Pinion Seal for 742 or 741/489 Case

I will add my pinion leaked on my 742 case and it was the sealing surface on the yoke that had worn to where it no longer sealed. I replaced the yoke and the leak was gone. So you might inspect yours.

There are several other ways to fix that, they make sleeves to go over the worn area and they make seals that are shifted to seal on a different area.

8 3/4" or Dana 60 Pinion Yoke Repair Sleeve
I have used the sleeve repair kits before with pretty good luck
they are think, and a bit tricky to not damage, but the repairs never leaked,
and some were very bad grooves
I filled the gap with JB, and sanded down flush with the rest of the shaft,
then put the sleeve on

The sleeve can go right over the ridged yoke, no need for the garbage JB weld under it.
