When I was allowed back here, one of the first things I saw was where Brian's house burned down and the benefit auction goin on. Yall have seen me make mention that although our house ain't burned down (thank GOD) but Kitty and I are in a terrible financial spot. She has take two jobs making less than half what she was after losing her job in February and I lost my job at the transmission shop two weeks later.

That said, I really felt for Brian and his family. I ain't ever been skeered, so I jumped right in. The only thing I had of any value was that 71 340 TQ intake.....I really didn't want to sell. But I threw it in the pile and Danny (DA4AD) immediately bid on it.....even though I put a reserve of 100 bucks on it. I did that because I didn't think it was fair for someone to win it for 20 bucks that might not do Brian any good.

It cost me $50.84 to ship that intake this mornin. Danny told me to let him know the shipping cost. I did and only a couple hours later, he paid me on Paypal. Danny, you are a stand up guy and this thread is for you. Any other time I wouldda split the shipping with you, but right now ain't a good time. I gotta say I was kinda skiddish, but you really came through and didn't make me wait. I just got done paying what bills I can this morning and I want you to know that 50 dollars is what we had left for gas money for two weeks. Without that we wouldda had it tough. I do appreciate it more than you know, Danny.

Like I said, If there's ever anything you see that you're interested in I am selling, let me know and I will do you as right on it as humanly possible. I thought a while before layin all this out here. Brian don't really need to know the details.....at least I though at first. But Brian, this kinda stuff right here shows how tight nit a community we have here. We might fuss and fight amongst ourselves, but when it comes down to it, we're family. A total stranger to me bid on my intake and now he's not such a total stranger anymore. To me, there's some real beauty in that.
