Wondering if anybody can recommend a good paint shop in Grand Junction CO.
I have been to most of them and they act like I am asking for one of their children.
They don't seem interested unless it is an insurance claim. As you can see, there is hardly any body work needed, but they don't want to touch it.

I have a 73 dart sport 340 sunroof car that has been completely media blasted.
I would be willing to say this is the most rust free dart sport you have ever seen.
My parents bought it in 1975 and I got it when I turned 16 (1984).
I drag raced it for about 7 years in the late 80's and early 90's with many wins.

I want to get it back on the road with cruising and handling in mind.

Here are some pics.

Your car looks like it is great shape. A project like that is very time consuming, that's why most collision shops don't want to tie up resources on such a long term project. Your best bet would be to find someone who does body work in their home garage, possibly just a side hobby ( like me, I have a 65 dart in my shop right now that looks just like your car.) It will probably take me a year of nights and weekends to finish it, but it will get my full attention. Go to some cruise nights or car shows and ask around, I'm sure you will be able to find someone, good luck.

Moores- they have painted 2 pick-ups and a 1957 CJ5 for me. I took them the jeep in pieces and soda blasted to bare metal. Took them a year but it came out great!

Thanks for the reply. I have thought about doing it myself but I was hoping that with the minimal body work I could get a body shop to do it. All I need them to do is body work and paint. I will be doing the assembly.

Thanks, I took it to Moore's a month ago and he said he would get a quote. I have called him maybe 2 times in that month and I still can't even get a quote.

Dean is kinda that especially during racing season! Go by and tell him Tim with the Jeep says get to work!

Hey I am in Junction up in the Redlands and I have some guys I can ask and get back to you. I heard there are some private guys in town that do really nice work and I can ask around tomorrow. Danny
