With all the metal work done on my Duster and a limited amount of body work to complete, it’s time to get serious about wheel and tires. I prefer to run a staggered wheel tire combination, but am open minded. I just have a real problem with running a really wide tire up front. I’m probably going to run a Bullet wheel and really like the American Muscle matt black wheel as my car will be painted bright white with a matt black 340 stripe and the V24 blackout hood. So here is what I’m thinking for a serious street handling 6.1 Hemi Duster:

1971 Duster, 6.1 Hemi
Front: 13” disc brakes on ’73-’76 spindles
Hellwig 1.25” 55907 tubular sway bar with either 1.00” – 1.06” Torsion bars from Firm Feel
Bilstein shocks all around
Custom rear springs from Peter Bergman lowered 1” with Dr Diff offset A-Body spring hangers (42” on center)
68-70 B-Body 8 ¾” 60.5” wide with Dr Diff 11.7” discs

Combination #1 26” tall:
Front: 225/45-18 on a 8” wide 5.7” backspace / 30mm offset
Rear: 255/40-18 on a 10” wide 7.3” backspace / 45mm offset (Is this wheel to wide?)

Combination #2 25.7” tall:
Front: 245/40-18 on a 9” wide 6.2” backspace / 30mm offset
Rear: 275/35-18 on a 10” wide 7.3” backspace / 45mm offset (Is this wheel to wide?)

So tell me what you guys think!
